Early in my career, I worked in the Fortune 500 and middle market in multinational companies chasing opportunities from coast to coast and building a successful business in Asia. I gained experience, responsibility, and financial success, but I never felt grounded. I was always moving, always on a plane, and disconnected from the local community.
That perspective changed when I bought my first company and experienced the highs and lows of business ownership. I also realized the challenges I experienced in large organizations were the same ones I was facing, just on a different scale. While the 2009 downturn forced me to close that business, the experience would ultimately become the foundation for Aquila Partners.
Over the past decade, working alongside small business owners and seeing their businesses through their lens, I’ve come to believe a different approach is needed.
Aquila Partners was founded to support leaders on their journey by helping them close the gap between strategy and execution. We align people, processes, and systems to drive meaningful change and measurable improvements in performance and profitability.

Meet Ken
Ken works alongside small and midsize business leaders to operationalize strategy by aligning systems, processes, and people to drive measurable improvements in profitability and performance.
Ken Myers, Founder and President
Ken brings more than three decades of domestic and international leadership experience spanning Fortune 500 companies, mid-market organizations, startups, and privately held businesses. He has served as a senior executive, general manager, consultant, and business owner across multiple industries, including distribution and logistics, manufacturing, and SaaS within the HRIS and PEO sectors.
Over the last decade, Ken has focused on helping small businesses design effective people strategies, reduce risk, improve productivity, and compete more effectively for talent. Through this work, Ken recognized that many of the operational and profitability challenges facing growing small businesses mirror those found in much larger organizations, most stemming from a disconnect between strategy and day-to-day execution. Aquila Partners was founded to help leaders close that gap.
Outside of his professional work, Ken is deeply driven by family and a desire to do his part to make the world a better place. He and his wife, Kathleen, live in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina and are proud parents of two children currently pursuing their dreams at UNC Charlotte. A committed Rotarian, Ken is actively involved in philanthropic efforts within the community and is an avid hiker, woodworker and lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan.
